How to ship your control unit — a practical guide

Packaging, address, fault description and typical turnaround: a practical guide for mail-in repairs to our workshop in Hannover.

Why mail-in often makes sense

Many faults in engine, transmission or comfort control units can be fixed without bringing the whole vehicle. You send the module; we diagnose and repair at component level — often cheaper and faster than a new OEM unit.

A solid pack job and clear details on the vehicle and fault help us give a firm assessment right after arrival.

Checklist before shipping

Note make, model, year and the part number on the unit housing. Briefly describe what happens: fault codes, warning lights, when it failed.

Include a note with contact details and the WhatsApp or e-mail we can use for follow-up questions.

Packaging

Anti-static bag if available, otherwise a clean plastic bag. Padding so the module cannot move. No loose metal in the same box.

Insured shipping recommended. Please send the tracking number via WhatsApp or e-mail so we can match the arrival.

What happens after arrival

Diagnosis and a clear price quote. After approval: repair, bench test, return shipping with a report. Typical turnaround: 48–72 hours after approval — depending on parts and complexity.
